My professional focus is simple: I help individuals reclaim their sense of ease of well-being.
What does “ease of well-being” mean? It means that your body and mind feel safe, connected, open, and present. This state of being has, for many of us, been obscured by unresolved trauma, ongoing stress, suboptimal movement patterns, compromised posture, physical and emotional pain, self-destructive beliefs, and/or persistent background anxiety. Sometimes, in the presence of any or all of these obstacles, we don’t even recognize that we’re uneasy because we have lost contact with the felt sense of being without fear, pain, or confusion.
My purpose is to facilitate your ability to experience deep safety, bodily comfort, clarity of mind, resilience, optimism, and joy in your life again. The beauty of this process is that ease of well-being is not difficult to reclaim. All that is necessary is to remove the obstacles so that you can see it and feel it again. It’s nothing you have to go get and you don’t have to “work hard” to connect to it because it is already within you!
You came into this world with the birthright of ease, which means that ease is hardwired into your body and mind. This ease is vast, limitless, and permanent. It cannot be diminished or destroyed; it can only be obscured. Nothing you do, nothing you did, nothing they did to you, no historical events, and no future happenings can affect this inherent ease within you. Ease is the true home of your soul. It is the source of all healing. It is the defining characteristic of freedom. This ease is yours to reclaim and you can access it again, with help.
My teachings are designed to help clear the path back to your ease, so you can connect to ease at will, and at any time. Together, we can take you home to that place already inside of you that will deliver you to safety, happiness, and confidence. To do this, I draw from numerous methods, apply my professional knowledge, and resource from an archive of experience I’ve gathered both professionally and personally. Some examples of my tools include: strength and conditioning; mobility and flexibility; myofascial release; stress releasing exercises; neurogenic tremoring; Yogic breathing; guided meditation; guided Nidra; Restorative Yoga; intentional focusing; motivation; and mindset. My certifications include 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer, Holistic Life Coach, and soon to be a 500hr Master Yoga Therapist (emphasis on healing).
I am also a survivor of childhood trauma and PTSD. The home-life experience of my childhood was replete with perpetual violence and peril, for 18 years. In my mid 20’s, after I was able to live on my own for several years, I recognized that I had significant PTSD. By the power of Love, I was connected to healers that guided me on the journey back to my authentic Self, the Self in me that came before the trauma. I learned to see my authentic Self as beautiful, innocent, and worth unveiling, and was utterly convinced that healing my wounds was the single most important mission I could undertake at the time. I devoted all of my time and energy to the healing process for 4 years through Somatic Experiencing therapy, energetic body work, researching and reading large bodies of literature on trauma healing, journaling, listening and singing to music, meditating, and practicing yoga every day. I was steadfast and loyal to the discipline of healing. Through those practices I completely resolved my trauma and PTSD and have been able to reclaim my sense of worth, ease, and safety.
In deep gratitude and humility of the power of these practices, I recognized that my journey from horror to happiness happened for the purpose of facilitating other people to do the same. I firmly believe that reclaiming your sense of ease is one of the most important actions you can take in your life, as the potential benefits are far and wide for you and everyone around you. It is my deepest desire to help you realize that you are worth experiencing a life of ease, and that the capacity to do so is indeed within you.
